Primary Function
A highly visible finance position, requiring a motivated individual, capable of career development to plant accounting manager within two to five years. Support the finance, sales, operations, and supply chain teams in the analysis of sales and production data. Key responsibilities will include profitability analysis, providing analytical support to cross functional groups, evaluating new sales opportunities, and provide insightful business data to promote profitable sales and efficient operating activities.
 
Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Perform entry-level financial analysis functions.
  • Perform trending analysis on costs, performance, market rates and sales prices.
  • Maintain key sales analysis reports.
  • Provide support and assist in development of annual operating plan.
  • Compile and interpret variance analysis.
  • Assist with the creation of financial models and ad hoc analysis.
  • Understand, analyze and make recommendations on financial performance as compared to industry benchmarks.
  • Maintain a list of approved brokers and rebates.
  • Verify that all supporting documentation is on file prior to program payouts.
  • Perform compliance tests for large dollar transactions and at random.
  • Track IPRs (deductions) for validity.


Minimum Skill Levels and Work Experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related Business degree.
  • 0-3 years relevant experience in an analysis or accounting role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Microsoft Office applications, strong Excel, and reporting tools like Cognos, Business Objects, etc.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and willing to relocate.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
